I am her.

Who is she?

She is a daughter. She is a best friend.

She is a pocketful of light. She is a spark of

something good, getting brighter; a dream grown

large; the right thing at the right time.

She is a dancer, a singer, a thinker, a 

truth-teller. A connoisseur of all things this

wide world has to offer. Her spirit is the

first thing people notice. Her mind always had 

a mind of its own. Her heart, though it has

sometimes been hurt, bears a strong resemblance

to a daffodil: it always flowers again. 

So she wakes with anticipations. She

finds new hills to climb. And everyone agrees

that the very fact of her in the world means

there is still so much good to come.

Who is she? She is me. She is you. 

I am her.

i am 22

22 years young

this age used to seem so old

 an age that would take so long to reach

yet here i am

22

me oh my

it feels ohh so good

i feel like i am at my prime 

 i am the most happy i have ever been

i think 22 is a good look for me

each year on my birthday i make a list 

of all the things i learned the previous year 

& let me tell you this..

this years list is the longest one to date

i learned a lot when i was 21

it was a year full of trials

but most importantly

full of triumph 

i finished being my 21 year old self

and went out with a bang

it was my golden birthday 

& it was my best birthday

 spent with these lovely ladies in vegas
