l a u g h

Loudly.
Endlessly.
Innocently.
At yourself.
For yourself.

You bet the past couple days were filled with laughter while watching the Seals

Surie Sabrina & Mia Kate
Driving the Jeep & Jumpin on the tramp
I kinda laughed when they ate the rabbits food.

Sylvie & Hadley
Uhh- Is my sister a shrimp or what?
At 4 in the morning Hadley barfed all over the kitchen floor.
I sure didn't laugh while wiping it up- but I sure can laugh now when I think back to how I didn't do a good job and left it up to the cleaning ladies to finish the job. Oops- my bad.

Cute little Morg
I laughed pretty hard when she pointed to the zit on my chin and told me I had an "owey".

Griffin the pirate. Arrrgg
He laughed at me when I slipped down the stairs almost breaking my neck

Tater Tot & RyRy
Check out this conversation I had with these two earlier.

"I have a feeling you two are going to be trouble in high school"- Me
"Ya, and I have a feeling the chicks will be all over us"- Tate
"Haha word"- Ryan

Uhh how old are they? 5th Graders.
Seriously I laughed for 5 minutes straight

Ohh & I cant forget about jack. He was too cool for a picture. Said the flash hurt his eyes.
Blahh blahh blahh
BUT
This was left up on the computer- filmed while I drove Hads to Gymnastics.
How can you not laugh at this.

All in all.. the past couple days have been pure fun & filled with lots of laughter
I sure love babysitting these kids

the zoo

Yesterday I took Griffin, Mia & Surie to the Zoo.
It was the perfect day & the weather was fabulous.
We sure had a blllasssst.

cinderella

I pretended I was Cinderella for one night.
We just had insanely intense cleaning checks at good ol' King Hen Hen. I was in charge of the kitchen. Probably the worst job they could have assigned. It took me foreverrrrr and I wanted it to be perfect. I even got down and dirty on the nasty floor and cleaned each and every white tile by hand. So when it was all done and sparkling clean I left a lovely note for my roommates warning them not to make it dirty again saying:

"Enter at your own risk. If you mess up my kitchen- I will stab forks in your eyes. "

It was meant to be a humorous note, but I don't think anyone except Lauren thought it was funny. I think they took it kinda rude. Oops! Anyways, I don't think the real Cinderella would have been that rude, but I definitely think she would have thought it was funny. I just wanted to get my point across that I didn't want one speck of dirt or crumb in MY kitchen. That's what I've been calling it now. MY kitchen. Cleaning checks are over and I'm still being a clean freak every time someone walks in there. To me its like a brand new shiny car that you don't want anyone to scratch or get dirty. The clean kitchen is like my shiny new car.
Maybe I'm being a little obsessive about it. But honestly, who doesn't love a clean kitchen.

Now all I need is my Prince Charming who finds my sense of humor funny & not scary.

"May it be our resolve this year to build a gospel-centered home, a safe harbor from the storms of the adversary. In a world of turmoil and uncertainty, it is more important than ever to make our families the center of our lives and the top of our priorities."

To me my family is a safe harbor where I find refuge when needed. I know I have a family that will pick me up when I fall and someone to always be there for me when I experience the little storms in life. The bond I have with my family instills trust and hope in the world around me and belief in myself that I can do anything. My family provides me with a sense of warmth, structure and safety. I don't know enough words to express my love and appreciation for them. Within my family is where I feel the most accepted and loved for who I am. They take me as I am, and love and support me even when I make mistakes. Im so thankful for my Heavenly Father for giving me the gift of an eternal family. The knowledge that we can be together forever is a blessing I don't think I could live without. My family brings happiness and joy into my life each and every day, and without them I wouldn't be the person I am today.

happy earth day

lovely rainy day.. & a message to my B

Letting go doesn't mean
giving up, but rather
accepting that there are
things that cannot be.

[ as 20 would say..]

Ridin' Dirty
-Scoot 4 Life-

After a long & hard day at school... sike. It wasn't hard. It was student spa day, so we got to close down the school & practice manicures, deep conditions, scalp treatments, etc on each other. They fed us free lunch & then we chilled outside practically the whole day. It was sooo sweet. Loved every second of it.

Then we came home & Chels, Cait, Laur & I went roller blading & scootering.
We just had to enjoy the warm weather while we could.
Spring- I love you.

"To Learn...

After awhile, you learn the subtle difference...
Between holding a hand and chaining a soul.
You learn that love doesn’t mean leaning...
Sooner or later, you have to let go.

You begin to understand that kisses are not contracts...
And presents are not promises.
Company does not mean security...
You shouldn’t always listen to what your heart says.

You begin to accept your defeats with your head held high...
And your eyes wide open with the grace of a woman,
Not the grief of a sad child.
You learn not to cry at every weak moment.

You learn to build all of your roads on today...
Because tomorrow’s ground is much too uncertain for plans.
The future has a way of falling down in mid-flight.
You learn to discover bright new lands.

After awhile you learn that even sunshine burns...
If you get to much.
So plant your own garden and decorate your soul...
But most of all, learn to trust.

Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers...
You learn that you really can endure.
That you really are strong...
And you really do have worth.
And you learn and learn again...
With every good-by...
you learn..."

oh, the places you'll go

Congratulations!

Today is your day.
You’re off to Great Places!
You’re off and away!

You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself any direction you choose.

You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the guy who’ll decide where to go.

You’ll look up and down streets. Look’em over with care. About some you will say, “I don’t choose to go there.” With your head full of brains and your shoes full of feet, you’re too smart to go down a not-so-good street.

And you may not find any you’ll want to go down. In that case, of course, you’ll head straight out of town. It’s opener there in the wide open air.

Out there things can happen and frequently do to people as brainy and footsy as you.

And when things start to happen, don’t worry. Don’t stew. Just go right along. You’ll start happening too.

Oh! The Places You’ll Go!

You’ll be on your way up!
You’ll be seeing great sights!
You’ll join the high fliers who soar to high heights.

You won’t lag behind, because you’ll have the speed. You’ll pass the whole gang and you’ll soon take the lead. Wherever you fly, you’ll be best of the best. Wherever you go, you will top all the rest.

Except when you don’t.
Because, sometimes, you won’t.

I’m sorry to say so but, sadly, it’s true that Bang-ups and Hang-ups can happen to you.

You can get all hung up in a prickle-ly perch. And your gang will fly on. You’ll be left in a Lurch.

You’ll come down from the Lurch with an unpleasant bump. And the chances are, then, that you’ll be in a Slump.

And when you’re in a Slump, you’re not in for much fun. Un-slumping yourself is not easily done.

You will come to a place where the streets are not marked. Some windows are lighted. But mostly they’re darked. A place you could sprain both your elbow and chin! Do you dare to stay out? Do you dare to go in? How much can you lose? How much can you win?

And if you go in, should you turn left or right…or right-and-three-quarters? Or, maybe, not quite? Or go around back and sneak in from behind? Simple it’s not, I’m afraid you will find, for a mind-maker-upper to make up his mind.

You can get so confused that you’ll start in to race down long wiggled roads at a break-necking pace and grind on for miles across weirdish wild space, headed, I fear, toward a most useless place.

The Waiting Place…for people just waiting.

Waiting for a train to go or a bus to come, or a plane to go or the mail to come, or the rain to go or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow or waiting around for a Yes or No or waiting for their hair to grow. Everyone is just waiting.

Waiting for the fish to bite or waiting for wind to fly a kite or waiting around for Friday night or waiting, perhaps, for their Uncle Jake or a pot to boil, or a Better Break or a string of pearls, or a pair of pants or a wig with curls, or Another Chance. Everyone is just waiting.

No! That’s not for you!
Somehow you’ll escape all that waiting and staying. You’ll find the bright places where Boom Bands are playing. With banner flip-flapping, once more you’ll ride high! Ready for anything under the sky. Ready because you’re that kind of a guy!

Oh, the places you’ll go! There is fun to be done! There are points to be scored. There are games to be won. And the magical things you can do with that ball will make you the winning-est winner of all. Fame! You’ll be famous as famous can be, with the whole wide world watching you win on TV.

Except when they don’t. Because, sometimes, they won’t.

I’m afraid that some times you’ll play lonely games too. Games you can’t win ‘cause you’ll play against you.

All Alone!
Whether you like it or not, Alone will be something you’ll be quite a lot.

And when you’re alone, there’s a very good chance you’ll meet things that scare you right out of your pants. There are some, down the road between hither and yon, that can scare you so much you won’t want to go on.

But on you will go though the weather be foul. On you will go though your enemies prowl. On you will go though the Hakken-Kraks howl. Onward up many a frightening creek, though your arms may get sore and your sneakers may leak. On and on you will hike. And I know you’ll hike far and face up to your problems whatever they are.

You’ll get mixed up, of course, as you already know. You’ll get mixed up with many strange birds as you go. So be sure when you step. Step with care and great tact and remember that Life’s a Great Balancing Act. Just never forget to be dexterous and deft. And never mix up your right foot with your left.

And will you succeed?
Yes! You will, indeed!
(98 and ¾ percent guaranteed.)

Kid, you’ll move mountains!
So…be your name Buxbaum or Bixby or Bray or Mordecai Ale Van Allen O’Shea, you’re off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting.
So…get on your way!

-Dr. Seuss

[ & after a very long, magical night, they crawled into bed, tired & ready to sleep.. ]

tonight i enjoyed being with my friends
i laughed & cried harder then i have in a long time
honestly- i don't know what i'd do without them

Wherever you are
its your friends
who make your world...
